On this webpage you just need to enter your 10 digit PNR No. (without any dash or space, just like a mobile no.) and click the ‘Get Status’ button.
Your Current Status will be shown on the next page (as show in the fig. above), You can regularly check your PNR status for your birth confirmation status as this will help you to predict the confirmation of your Waiting or RAC tickets
Check the PNR Status with SMS
Go in the Message Box of your Mobile Phone and Type
PNR<SPACE><Enter Your 10 Digits PNR No.>
And send it to 139
You will shortly receive your PNR Status

Alternate Way to check PNR Status
If you are using IRCTC website http://www.irctc.co.in to book your ticket you can easily check your PNR status by going into My Account Section and Clicking the Print E-Ticket option Tab.
You will be asked to re-enter your password then your will be shown your current booked tickets
Click the ‘Get PNR Status’ Tab to get Your PNR Status. IRCTC Recently added an option here to get your ticket confirmation SMS again, if you have not received it during booking of E-Ticket
